Memphis and UCF will battle in the American Athletic Conference Championship Game in Orlando on Saturday.

The UCF Knights continue to march toward a perfect season. After dispatching of South Florida in one of the best college football games of the season, UCF know will host Memphis in the American Athletic Conference Championship Game.

UCF has had some supporters in the College Football Playoff argument this year because of their undefeated record. While that’s likely not going to happen because of the fact they don’t play in a power conference, there is still high aspirations for this program.

With a win in the conference championship game, the Knights are likely going to find themselves in one of the top bowl games this season. They will then likely get their chance to take on a power conference opponent and really have their shot to prove why they are for real. Make no mistake, the Knights have done a tremendous job of doing so already.

While this goes on, there is of course a lot of speculation surrounding head coach Scott Frost. With the success the Knights have had and the opening that Nebraska has, it almost seems inevitable that the head coach could soon be moving on.

Right now, the Knights are focused on taking care of business and winning a conference championship. Memphis is going to prove to be quite the challenge. The No. 16 Tigers come into this game right near the Knights in the rankings and know they’ll have a chance to play in a top bowl game with a win as well.
