Oklahoma and TCU will battle in the 2017 Big 12 Championship Game. A look at how to watch it online.
College football’s regular season ended in Week 13, with games that decided who would play in conference championship matchups, some of which will decide a spot in the College Football Playoff. One of those will be Oklahoma vs. TCU, battling for the Big 12 Championship at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, TX.
Oklahoma and TCU finished No. 1 and 2 in the Big 12, respectively, thus leading to this matchup. Both teams held the top spot at separate points this season, until the Sooners fell to Iowa State, followed by the Horned Frogs just weeks later.
Afterward, these teams played in early November. It resulted in an Oklahoma win, 38-20. This was one of the best passing performances against the TCU defense, as quarterback Baker Mayfield threw for 333 yards, multiple touchdowns and no interceptions.
This game all but ended Gary Patterson’s team’s chances at the top spot. However, by winning their final games of the season, they earned the No. 2 spot, beating out Oklahoma State, Iowa State and West Virginia to earn a place in Dallas.
If OU wins, look for them to secure a spot in the College Football Playoff. The committee gave them the No. 3 spot on Tuesday night, a win should lock this up. That’s while TCU sits at No. 11. It’s no guarantee a victory gets them in, as a handful of teams sit above them. Would a victory over Lincoln Riley’s squad be enough?
