West Brom were less than 10 minutes away from picking up a much-needed win against Newcastle in their last game on Tuesday. However, an own goal from Jonny Evans forced the Baggies to settle for a draw. The next day, the club announced that Alan Pardew would take over as manager after firing Tony Pulis with the club in 17th place, two points above the relegation zone. Marco Silva has thrived in his first season with Watford. The Hornets are eighth in the Premier League with 21 points.
West Brom won the first two games of the season, but unfortunately for their fans, they have not won a game since. In their last 12 games, the Baggies have six draws and six losses. West Brom have struggled to find the back of the net this season, scoring only 12 goals, the fourth fewest in the Premier League.
Watford lost 4-2 in their midweek game against Manchester United. The loss ended the Hornets two-game winning streak. However, they have lost four of their past six games. Watford have allowed the fourth-most goals in the Premier League this season but have been able to stay in the top half of the table because they have scored the sixth most goals. Richarlison and Abdoulaye Doucouré share the team lead in goals with five apiece.
