Best NFL highlights from Week 13: Alvin Kamara is unreal
By Joe Schiller
8. Alvin Kamara is a bonified star
Rookie running back Alvin Kamara has just about wrapped up NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honors. The third-round pick out of Tennesee has been incredible this season and continued that today against the Panthers. He added to the Saints seven-point lead in the third quarter with this 20-yard touchdown run. Kamara broke numerous tackles on his way into the end zone for his second score of the day.
As Joe Buck put it, Kamara makes it look easy. Whether it’s on the ground or as a receiver, Kamara simply can’t be stopped. He’s making big play after big play and he’s an electric talent to watch. The Saints come away with another win and now hold the sole lead in the NFC South.
7. Gronk is just too good
Why even try to cover Rob Gronkowski? He’s a listed as a tight end but is really a hybrid wide receiver. He can make just about any catch and is a matchup nightmare for any team. Just ask the Buffalo Bills about that. In a 23-3 blowout win, Gronkowski reminded everyone just who is the best tight end in the league.
Rookie cornerback Tre’Davious White was no match in coverage. Gronkowski reached over the top of White and hauled in the catch. It really is unfair but Gronk is a once in a generation type talent. He’s completely transformed the tight end position from what we’ve originally seen. As long as he stays healthy, we’ll be seeing plenty more of those plays.
