Report: Milwaukee Bucks making push to land DeAndre Jordan from Clippers
The Milwaukee Bucks added Eric Bledsoe in a trade with the Phoenix Suns earlier this year. A new report says the team isn’t finished looking for stars to add to their roster and have their eye on the Clippers’ DeAndre Jordan.
The DeAndre Jordan trade rumor fire is heating up. The latest team to throw their hat in the ring seems to be the Milwaukee Bucks, according to a new report.
Gery Woelfel of the Recine Journal Times is reporting that the Bucks are making a “concerted push” for Jordan. Los Angeles’ asking price for their prized big man is said to be “at least two” of Khris Middleton, John Henson, and Malcolm Brogden.
If the price is right the Bucks could acquire the three-time All-NBA center to fill the void in the middle left when the team traded big man Greg Monroe as part of the package to acquire Eric Bledsoe.
Presently, the starting center position for Milwaukee is being held by Henson, a seven-foot-tall, 229-pounder who doesn’t quite bring the physical presence of Jordan, who has twice been named to the NBA All-Defensive team.
The move would add another star to the Bucks’ young core, currently headlined by 22-year-old MVP-hopeful Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Rumors that the Clippers have been looking for a new home for Jordan have been swirling, ever since star Forward Blake Griffin went down with an MCI sprain late last month. Los Angeles has been off to a bit of a disappointing start, currently sitting in tenth place in the Western Conference with a record of 8-13.

Griffin’s injury is the latest in a string of unfortunate events for the Clippers. The team has already lost guard Patrick Beverly for the season as well as losing Danilo Gallinari and Milos Teodosic for an extended time.
The Bucks have been trending upward as of late, currently sitting in sixth place in the East with an 11-9 record. Adding a player like Jordan could be the piece they need to make a push for the top half of the conference.
