The Clippers’ star center DeAndre Jordan has been without an agent for two years, and now he finally has one.
DeAndre Jordan of the Los Angeles Clippers has recently hired a new agent. Jordan has been without an agent for two years, ever since his initial signing with the Dallas Mavericks in 2015. He did end up re-signing with the Clippers for four years and $87 million after a legendary change of heart.
Jordan recently hired Jeff Schwartz of Excel Sports Managements. Schwartz is supposedly going to help Jordan with his future with the, whether that is staying or leaving the only franchise he’s ever knwon. This is big news considering Jordan now has somebody to determine his presence in the franchise and will guide him through decisions throughout the rest of his career. This also has a benefit for teams wondering if they would like to sign him wondering if he has any interest.
With DeAndre Jordan being one of the most valuable players for trade. Jordan would be the best bet at trading for other valuable assets in hopes of rebuilding. The Clippers are reaching a team-building crossroad that would have teams learning what DeAndre’s trade value is on the market.
With Blake Griffin out for an extended period of time, and the Clippers’ 8-14 start, rival teams have reached out about the possibility of acquiring Jordan. The Clippers made moves this summer to focus on staying competitive but with how badly their season has started it’s worth seeing if they’re changing course.
