The Ball family made waves again on Monday, as LaVar pulled LiAngelo out of UCLA. Now, a report from Yahoo’s Shams Charania indicates LiAngelo and LaMelo may be exploring hoops options overseas.

Chances are, you know by now that LiAngelo Ball is no longer at UCLA. LaVar Ball decided to instruct his son on his own instead of letting Bruins head coach LaMelo do the job for him. In any event, this could spell the end of the Ball-UCLA relationship. With Lonzo gone to the Lakers, and now LiAngelo departing, there’s a good chance that LaMelo won’t set foot on campus in Westwood, too.

There was already buzz about that, given the fact that he has a signature shoe. That wouldn’t really comply with NCAA rules and regulations, anyway. But, now there’s word that LaMelo and LiAngelo may not play in the United States first. Yahoo! Sports ace reporter Shams Charania has word that the Ball sons may venture overseas.

The report from Shams says that their rep has begun discussions so that the siblings can play overseas.

"Harrison Gaines, the representative for LaMelo, 16, and LiAngelo, 19, started initial contact with overseas teams this week, sources told Yahoo Sports."

Honestly, this may be the best situation for the two at this point. They have obviously alienated themselves away from UCLA, and it’s not like LiAngelo was going to transfer anywhere, anyway. So going overseas, getting reps out there, and learning the game before potentially coming to the NBA would seem like the best route for each of them.
