Chelsea welcome Atletico Madrid to Stamford Bridge in the last matchday of the Champions League group stage. This is a pretty massive matchup for both sides. Should Chelsea win, they guarantee the top spot in the group. Atletico Madrid need a bit more help. Should they wish to advance past the group stage, they need to win and hope that Roma don’t beat Qarabag. If not, they’ll fall to the Europa League.

Chelsea have been coming into their own offensively in the last few games. They’ve scored 14 goals in their last six games, and only conceded two goals through that period. Eden Hazard has been scintillating over the last few games, being the offensive dynamo that Chelsea need. Victor Moses starting over the weekend against Newcastle was a big boost for Chelsea. Davide Zappacosta hasn’t been the offensive piece they hoped for in Moses’s absence. Having him back on the flanks is key for Chelsea.

Atletico Madrid missing out on moving past the group stage of the Champions League would be a massive disappointment. They’re currently sitting only six points off the top of La Liga, but for some reason in the Champions League have been off the ball. They’re a much better team then they’ve shown in the Champions League, and now they can only control so much about their Champions League destiny.
