LeBron uses his time machine to beat the Chicago Bulls

CHICAGO, IL - DECEMBER 4: LeBron James
CHICAGO, IL - DECEMBER 4: LeBron James

There’s only one explanation for the way LeBron James is playing this season. He clearly has a time machine.

Remember back in 2008 when LeBron James won his first MVP award, and then won the award again three out of the next four seasons? It was the first time you were absolutely convinced that you couldn’t stop him, and there was not a soul on this planet that was better than him at basketball.

Well, it seems that same LeBron has shown up this season, and it’s not going well for everybody else. It’s like they took the 24-year-old version of James and pulled a Han Solo, freezing him in carbonite and thawing him out to stop the Empire.

The Cavaliers were in Atlanta to play the Hawks last Thursday, and there were some interesting similarities to the 2008 version of James. Same spot, same drive and the exact same dunk. It was the ultimate deja vu.

The Cavs were also in Chicago to play the Bulls on Monday, and James pulled out all of the Michael Jordan moves. We all know Kobe stole Jordan’s moves, and I mean why wouldn’t you? James on the other hand never actually needed to steal his moves because he’s basically a freight train coming down hill, and he never actually needed said moves.

At this point in James’ 15-year career there isn’t much that he hasn’t done. I mean he even stared down Jordan himself during the 2014 playoffs against the then named Charlotte Bobcats. So why not go to Chicago, and replicate every signature Jordan move; in the house that Jordan built.

My personal favorite was the one-handed pump fake. I’ve always been a big fan of it just because of how gutsy it is. We know James has no problem palming a ball, but all it takes is to get that one slick spot on a ball and it’s a turnover

The fake-spin-turnaround-fade away-jumper is also a move that you just can’t possibly guard. LeBron on the drive is scary enough, but when he stops on a dime and fakes the spin move you’re in trouble. The fade away is just the icing on the cake, because you’re already off balance and have zero chance to contest that shot.

There are only two players in the entire NBA with 10, 30-point performances. One of them is Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker. The other is, you guessed it, LeBron James. In year 15, James is still dominating the competition, and it could lead to a fifth MVP award.
