1. Minnesota Twins

There’s no denying the fact that Miguel Sano is one of the brightest young sluggers in the game of baseball, but the Minnesota Twins are kidding themselves if they think he can continue playing full seasons at third base. Sano needs to become a full-time DH as soon as possible. In parts of three seasons, he has been worth -2.9 dWAR overall and -8 DRS at third base in 133 games.

Sano has also had difficulty staying healthy while playing the field. His bat is far more valuable than his glove, and the Twins need to make sure he is in the lineup at least 150 times a year. Sano was an All-Star for the first time last year after hitting .276/.368/.538 with 21 home runs and 62 RBI, but played only 32 games in the second half.

Zack Cozart has only played shortstop in his MLB career, but may be willing to play some third base if it increases his value. He has made just over $12 million in his career, but could start earning that on an annual basis if he plays the market right. Coming off a playoff season, the Twins have money to spend and it makes sense that they use it on an infielder to bump Sano to DH once and for all.

Jorge Polanco played 130 games at shortstop for the Twins last season, but can be erratic with the glove. Polanco made 18 errors and has below-average range. Cozart is an upgrade at the position if the Twins want to go that direction.
