Suns Devin Booker carried off the court with leg injury
Phoenix Suns star guard Devin Booker was carted off the court with a leg injury.
Phoenix Suns sensation Devin Booker had to be carried off the floor with a strained left adductor. The injury occurred in the fourth quarter of the Suns 126-113 loss to the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday night.
Booker was guarding Raptors guard Fred VanVleet while VanVleet was coming up the court. As VanVleet crossed halfcourt, Booker grabbed his groin area in pain. He had to be carried off the court by his fellow teammates.
Suns interim head coach Jay Triano kept things in perspective when asked about Bookers injury after the game, per ESPN.
"Booker, who scored 46 points to lift the Suns past the 76ers on Monday night and once scored 70 points in a game, had 19 points and eight assists in 39 minutes.Interim Suns coach Jay Triano said he’s unsure of the severity of Booker’s injury.“I’ve seen guys get carried off and play the next day and guys not,” Triano said. “I’ll let the doctors figure out the severity of it. I’m sure they’ll have to do an MRI or something to see and make sure we take care of him the right way.”"
Booker has come into his own after being selected 13th in the 2015 Draft. He is averaging 24.3 points per contest while shooting 45 percent from the floor and 38 percent from 3. Booker also is tied with LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo with the most 30-point games this season with ten.

But even with Booker’s heroics, the Suns are only 9-17. With Booker out until further notice, the Suns will have to attempt to find a way to compete. In the meantime, the Suns can look forward to free agency in 2018, hopefully adding a few more pieces so they can build a competitive team around Booker.
