The Kansas City Chiefs will take on the Oakland Raiders in a huge AFC West battle in Week 14 of the NFL season, and they will be without Marcus Peters.

In Week 14 of the 2017 NFL season, the Kansas City Chiefs will play host to the Oakland Raiders with first place on the line. The Chiefs will be without star cornerback Marcus Peters, who was suspended by the team on Wednesday. Peters threw a flag into the stands during the Chiefs’ loss to the New York Jets last weekend and left the game despite not being ejected. The organization levied the suspension on him just in time for arguably its biggest game of the season.

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier is still in Cincinnati going through tests, as the doctors are trying to fully diagnose his condition. Shazier lost feeling in his lower extremities when his head hit Bengals wideout Josh Malone in the thigh on Monday night. He does have feeling back in his legs, but there is still no definitive answer as to whether he will make a full recovery from his injuries as of Wednesday night.

Staying with that Steelers-Bengals game, it appears George Iloka will not be suspended for one game as was originally levied. Iloka hit Antonio Brown in the end zone on Monday night, and like Steelers wideout JuJu Smith-Schuster, he was given a one-game suspension. However, the league overturned his suspension on Wednesday, and the safety will now only have to pay a fine, saving him a game check.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell finally got his extension on Wednesday, and it is for some big bucks. Goodell’s extension is for five years and could be worth more than $200 million if all bonuses are met. There has been plenty of controversy surrounding his extension, as Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was fighting against it. The odds all along were that he would be, and that became truth on Wednesday.

In Thursday Night Football action to kick off Week 14 of the NFL schedule, the Atlanta Falcons will play host to  the New Orleans Saints in a huge NFC South matchup. The Saints are currently sitting at 9-3 and in first place in the division, but the 7-5 Falcons could certainly make a run through the last four games of the season. New Orleans has featured more of a rushing attack this season, which has seemed to turn the franchise back into a winner.
