DraftKings European League Basketball Picks December 8

More from DraftKings

DraftKings has brought the Euro League state side! They even have an app where we can watch the games that our picks are involved in!

The Euro league is a different animal. It is much more halfcourt oriented than the NBA game. The games are also eight minutes shorter. There are 16 teams in the Euro League instead of 30. That means a more shallow player pool to choose from

The money line yesterday was at 144 DraftKings points. I placed my lineup comfortably in the money thanks to huge value from Janis Timma and Shved continuing to tear up the league.

The winning lineup was at 196 points. He paid down a touch at guard going with Nando de Colo and Jordan Theodore. However, his value pick of Adam Waczynski set him apart with 40.5 DraftKings points.

Guards:

The guards had it easy yesterday, so you know today’s guards have it rough. There are still a couple of solid bargains out there, including one that you must play.

Luka Doncic ($14,400): Doncic deserves consideration whenever he takes this court. He is the most complete player in the Euro League, and puts up in the mid 20’s in DraftKings points even against tough teams. That said, as good as he and Rochestie have been, I don’t like the matchup for either of them Olympiacos doesn’t give up much of anything, but with Real Madrid’s frontcourt still beaten up, Doncic is a lock to perform at a good level at the very least.

Kostas Sloukas ($9,400): Sloukas picked up last round right where he left off after missing a game against Khimki. Sloukas has 61.25 DraftKings points In the last two rounds, and has a good matchup against Barcelona tonight. This is about as good as matchups get for guards. I only want to pay for Doncic in good matchups, especially when it’s possible to field a good lineup without him today.

Janis Strelnieks ($5,500): I have no idea how Strelnieks is still this cheap. He has at least 21 DraftKings points in each of the last five rounds. Strelnieks hasn’t gone over 27 in that span, but that’s fine with me. It’s hard to find a consistent 20 in the Euro League without paying twice the salary of Strelnieks.

Forwards:

Georgios Printezis ($9,600): I mentioned that Real Madrid is still missing a lot of pieces up front. That makes Printezis a very good play tonight. Real Madrid wasn’t great up front to begin with, but without Gustavo Ayon and Anthony Randolph, they are even worse. I rode the value of Real Madrid’s frontcourt last week, but I’m not doing it against Olympiacos. They are just too strong.

Milko Bjelica ($9,500): Many people moved off of Bjelica after several ho-hum November games. Bjelica got back on track against Real Madrid’s depleted frontcourt last week. Efes is at full strength up front, but they still may be as bad as Real Madrird. Efes has been among the league’s worst in the frontcourt all season. This looks like another place for Bjelica to shine.

Kevin Seraphin ($8,900): Seraphin has also turned in five straight games of more than 20 DraftKings points. The former NBA vet has been Barcelona’s most consistent offensive player, and is pretty good defensively as well. Dogus is pretty weak up front. I like Seraphin to have another strong game.

Pero Antic ($7,100): The good part about the value of Strelnieks is that you can build a strong frontcourt if you don’t use Doncic. I am attacking the Efes frontcourt again, and have no reservations about using both Antic and Bjelica.
