Eagles at Rams: Preview, prediction, odds and pick
Carson Wentz and Jared Goff will go at it in a matchup of two of the league’s best offenses when the Eagles and Rams battle in Week 14.
Despite their loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday Night Football, the Philadelphia Eagles may still be the scariest team in the NFC at the moment. However, that title will get put to the test when they travel to play the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday afternoon in a key Week 14 matchup.
The Eagles boast an all-around solid team on both offense and defense, but they haven’t faced a ton of adversity throughout the 2017 season so far. With just two losses on their record and just one in the first 11 weeks of the season, they’ve been clicking on all cylinders. Now, we’ll see how they handle a bad loss after such a successful stretch to this point in the season.
Meanwhile, the Rams once held the title of the top team in the NFC a long time ago (and by a long time, we mean a few weeks ago), but have since dropped to a 9-3 record and out of the top two spots in the NFC. A win over the Eagles would be huge for their hunt for a first round bye in the playoffs, and could help them gain some ground on the Seahawks in the NFC West.

Odds: Rams -2.5, according to Odds Shark
It’s a bit shocking to see the Rams listed as favorites in a game like this, but the idea of playing on the road for the second week in a row after a loss to a previous NFC West foe may play a factor in this.
Personally, I still see the Eagles taking this one in a closely contested battle, moving to 11-2 on the year and establishing their case for a bye in the postseason.
Prediction: Eagles 23, Rams 20
