1. Injuries galore

It seems as if the NBA is suffering an insane amount of injuries to star players this year, much like the NFL. Beginning on opening night with Gordon Hayward to now, with stars such Steph Curry set to miss an extended period of time, NBA players can’t seem to catch a break. Sticking with Hayward before discussing the latest injuries; fans have been given an update. The Celtics announced in about two weeks time, Hayward will be out of his walking boot for good. Things are looking good for the Celtics star, despite his return for this season being highly questionable.

Meanwhile, Curry is set to miss at least two weeks with an ankle injury of his own. Curry sprained his ankle mid-game against the Pelicans and walked out on crutches. However, the Warriors are not stressing the injury. After all, they still have Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green (when healthy), etc. Curry’s absence will make the Warriors an even stronger team, according to Steve Kerr and the thought of that is terrifying.

In Phoenix, young phenom Devin Booker needed to be carted off the floor after a nasty groin injury. The injury came just one night after Booker dropped 46 on the 76ers. He’s expected to miss anywhere from 2-3 weeks with a left adductor strain. Elsewhere, Tim Hardaway Jr. will miss at least two weeks with a leg injury and Anthony Davis remains day-to-day following his injury. These injuries are beginning to pile on as stars are dropping like flies around the league.
