FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 9, 2017
High Value SG
CJ McCollum, POR vs HOU ($6,600): McCollum is just under the average salary and he’s been right around value in his last six games. His offensive numbers are better at home, averaging 32.7 FPPG in Portland compared to 30.8 FPPG on the road. His scoring numbers have been down in his last four as he’s failed to crack 20 points in each of those contest. He still rebounds well and chips in with assists. The Blazers need his scoring if they hope to keep pace with the Rockets. ***
Dion Waiters, MIA at BKN ($5,600): Waiters has been inconsistent this season, hitting value 55 percent of the time, but posting a dud rating 32 percent of games. A matchup with the Nets projects well for him as they are 23rd against the position in their last 15 games. The bulk of Waiters’ value comes from his scoring, but he can pick up a handful of assists as well. He’s coming off one of his best games of the season and when he’s hot, he usually stays that way for at least two games. ****
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, LAL at CHA ($5,900): Aside from a 12.2 fantasy point game agains the Nuggets, Caldwell-Pope has been at or above value in nine of his last ten games. The Hornets just gave up a big night to Kris Dunn and Justin Holiday and Caldwell-Pope is much better than either of those two. He can score, rebound, and put up numbers on the defensive end. Not only were the Hornets just gashed by Chicago guards, they rank 26th against the position in their last 15 games. Caldwell-Pope has the highest usage of any Lakers player in the last five games. *****
