Vita Vea

Defensive Tackle, Washington

The New England Patriots suffered a terrible loss at the hands of the Miami Dolphins on Monday night, as they failed to convert a third down for the first time since 1991. Tom Brady looked shaky throughout, as the Dolphins continued their dominance over the Pats at home. The loss was just a blip on the radar, but another huge game looms on Sunday, as the Patriots have to go into Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers with the top seed in the AFC on the line.

If the Patriots can beat the Steelers, then they are in the driver’s seat in the conference, and the title has to go through Foxboro. New England is going to continue to win, and if they do hold on to their top pick in 2018, they may think about drafting a defensive lineman. Vita Vea from Washington is a fantastic player in the middle of the Huskies defensive line, and he is going to be a fantastic pro.

Vea is a true monster on defense, possessing the ability to dominate against the run, and the pass. He is big enough to clog up the middle on run plays, while also possessing some great moves to get around the defense and get after the quarterback. Washington has turned into a power in the Pac-12 since he arrived on campus, and he is a big reason why they have become a dominant football program in the past few seasons.
