Josh Allen

Quarterback, Wyoming

The Pittsburgh Steelers are once again one of the best teams in the AFC, and we could be watching a rematch between them and the Patriots in the AFC Championship Game next month. On Sunday, those two teams will battle it out with first place in the AFC on the line, and both teams want that home field advantage throughout the playoffs. The offense is rolling as of late for the Steelers, but they will have to find a way to replace injured star linebacker Ryan Shazier.

The team placed Shazier on injured reserve on Tuesday, but that was no big surprise. The organization is not worried as to whether Shazier will ever play again, as the focus has turned to him having a good quality of life after injuring his back. He will serve as a rallying cry for the team the rest of the way, and the team certainly put together a solid comeback victory in his honor on Sunday night against the Baltimore Ravens.

If the season ended tomorrow, the Steelers would have the final pick in the first round, and they might want to go quarterback. Ben Roethlisberger is always teasing about retirement, and bringing in a guy like Josh Allen would soften that blow if it happened. The odds are Big Ben will play out his contract, and if the team brings in Allen to serve as his backup for a couple of seasons, it will only help in his development in the long run.
