Fantasy football is nearing the end of the season, but owners fighting for the title in Week 15 need to know who to start and sit in their quest for glory.
It’s Week 15 and for many fantasy leagues out there, that means it’s the semi-finals and the stakes continue to get higher. For any league that plays into Week 17, that league is likely doing it wrong. It’s just not fun to play in Week 17 when some division winners are resting their stars. Anyways, the focus for now is solely on Week 15.
There are plenty of solid games on the schedule this week and owners who have made it to this round of the postseason likely have some pretty good rosters. The decisions aren’t easy to make and it is usually best to stick with who brought a team to the dance. However, the best owners know when to sit the stud who could let them down in a particular week. There’s multiple games to attack and even some deeper options for the owners who need an option not many would think of.
Start: Juju Smith-Schuster, WR – Pittsburgh Steelers
Maybe the best game on paper coming into Week 15 is the New England Patriots versus the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field. After missing the last game due to suspension, rookie wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster shapes up to be a good start. The Patriots defense has been playing a lot better recently and that might scare off owners but the Steelers are going to need to score a ton of points to win this game.
New England coach Bill Belichick usually wants to take away the other teams best weapon. Regardless of whether that means Antonio Brown or Le’Veon Bell gets the majority of the defensive attention, Smith-Schuster is going to have to be a focal point of the offense. In the three games since his breakout in Detroit, the rookie has at least four receptions in each. He seemed to be over the hamstring injury when he played the Bengals even though he didn’t have a huge involvement in the offense.
The young receiver has become kind of a security blanket for quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who will need to be sharp this week to match New England. He plays a role similar to a tight end and he should be able to find the end zone at least once in what should be a high scoring affair.
