DraftKings European League Basketball Picks December 15

More from DraftKings

DraftKings has brought the Euro League state side! They even have an app where we can watch the games that our picks are involved in!

The Euro league is a different animal. It is much more halfcourt oriented than the NBA game. The games are also eight minutes shorter. There are 16 teams in the Euro League instead of 30. That means a more shallow player pool to choose from

The money line was at 153.5 yesterday. Both lineups I made placed over the money line thanks to big bargain days from Trey Thompkins and Adam Waczynski.

The winning lineup was a solid 195 DraftKings points. He got a huge day from James Augustine along with Doncic and solid value days from Gill and Malcolm Thomas.

PORTLAND, OR – APRIL 27: Nick Calathes #12 of the Memphis Grizzlies celebrates after hitting a three point shot in the third quarter of Game Four of the Western Conference quarterfinals during the 2015 NBA Playoffs against the Portland Trail Blazers at Moda Center on April 27, 2015 in Portland, Oregon. Guards:

We have a nice balance in this round. This is another situation where it is hard to roster both of the top guards. Taking a middle ground approach built me a lineup that I am more excited about. It is possible to get the two big guards in your lineup, but the values aren’t as prevalent today.

Nick Calathes ($13,600): His value is through the roof right now, and if not for Alexey Shved, Calathes may be the best point in the Euro League right now. Luka Doncic is in a class of his own, but these two NBA veterans are proving to be huge overseas.

Nando de Colo ($11,500): If you are building around just one of the top guards, de Colo is probably the easy choice. They both have great matchups and Calathes has more upside, but de Colo has been more consistent over the course of the season. To me,the $2,100 price difference is too steep. I don’t think the production will be that far apart.

Cory Higgins ($6,600): Sergio Rodriguez runs the team, but Higgins has proven to be a good off the ball  shooter. Tel Aviv is in the middle of the league against guards, but with most of the attention on Sergio, I expect Higgins to see plenty of good shots. And there is the fact that Higgins hasn’t been under 50% from the floor since round 5 against Zalgiris.

Nikos Pappas ($5,400): If you are playing both Calathes and de Colo, you need value. Calathes’ teammate provides a great place for it. Pappas is mostly a scorer, but against one of the worst backcourts in the league, he should see a ton of open shots.

NEW YORK, NY – DECEMBER 03: Tornike Shengelia #20 of the Brookly(Photo by Maddie Meyer/Getty Images) /

Forwards:

Tornike Shengelia ($10,000): Shengelia’s price has crept up to quintuple digits thanks to him being over 20 DraftKings points in 10 of 11 rounds so far this year. That gives Shengelia a strong floor. Efes is improving in the middle, but not enough to scare me off of Shengelia. Especially in cash games.

Kyle Hines ($8,300): His production has tailed off a little with the return of Will Clybourn, but they have both played well together. Hines has still put up 46 DraftKings points in the two games with Clybourn back. I ended up stacking CSKA against Tel Aviv tonight. Not because of the opponent necessarily, but because of CSKA’s offense.

Tibor Pleiss ($8,200): Pleiss may not be all that flashy, but he is about as consistent as they get. I’m going with consistency at forward and upside at guard. Pleiss and Hines are about as consistent as they come.

Janis Timma ($6,000): Timma has outplayed everyone but Beaubois in the Baskonia frontcourt lately. Timma is cheap enough to spend up at other positions. I have him in my lineup that has both Calathes and de Colo.
