Pistons at Hawks live stream: How to watch online
The struggling Detroit Pistons (14-13) will visit the Atlanta Hawks (6-21) Thursday night. Here’s how to watch this Eastern Conference game online via live streaming.
Burdened by a difficult stretch of the schedule and a recent inability to close out games, the Detroit Pistons are reeling, having lost seven straight after beginning the season at 14-6. Facing the woeful Atlanta Hawks may just be what the doctor ordered. With only six wins all season, the Hawks currently hold the league’s worst record. Fortunately for the Hawks, rookie big man John Collins is expected to return from a six-game absence. Prior to his shoulder injury, the Wake Forest product had scored 12 or more in seven of his last eight games. His return particularly helps a team already missing its injured starting center, Dewayne Dedmon.
Prior to the Pistons’ current losing skid, they had been one of the top-performing fourth-quarter teams. Over their last seven games, however, they rank 25th in fourth-period net rating, allowing 10.6 more points per 100 possessions than they’re scoring. The late-game struggles coupled with the team’s continued difficulty in getting off to strong starts (over their last seven, Detroit ranks 29th in first-quarter net rating) have spelled disaster again and again for Stan Van Gundy’s squad.

Detroit’s leading scorer, Tobias Harris, is coming off a 30-minute performance Tuesday in which he failed to convert a single field goal. Prior to that loss against the Nuggets, he also struggled from the field against the Celtics and Warriors. First-year Piston Avery Bradley is looking for his shot too. Despite a strong shooting start, this month, he’s shooting 33.7 percent from the field and 30.3 percent from 3, as his team searches for its first December win. These teams matched up just over a month ago, with Detroit hanging on for a seven-point home victory. Andre Drummond delivered 16 points, 20 rebounds, seven assists and two blocks.
