In an NFC North battle with very little on the line, the Detroit Lions will play host to the Chicago Bears inside Ford Field on Saturday.

The Chicago Bears actually came to play this past weekend, as they went into Cincinnati and beat the Bengals by the score of 33-7. Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky found the end zone with his arm, and his feet, while Jordan Howard showed the kind of skill that made him one of the best rookies in football last season. On Saturday, they will travel to the Motor City to take on the Detroit Lions, who are still technically alive in the NFC Playoff race.

Last season, the Lions were able to clinch a playoff spot via the Wildcard, and rewarded quarterback Matthew Stafford with the richest contract in football. Stafford has played up to that contract this season, but the Lions as whole has been wildly inconsistent. Last weekend, the Lions were able to take care of business against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as Stafford played well through an injured hand.

Anytime these two teams get together it is going to be a good one, and the Bears may have turned a corner last weekend. Detroit has one of the better offenses in the NFC, but their defense has proven to be beatable on occasion. Can Chicago go on the road and win again this weekend? Only time will tell, but this team is starting to get fun to watch.

Odds

Line: Chicago Bears (+5.5)

Over/Under: 44.0

The Bears are pretty big underdogs in this one, but they should be able to cover that 5.5 point spread. The over/under is set at 44.0, but if Chicago’s offense plays the way it did against Cincinnati last weekend, this one could go over. This line will change a lot throughout the week, so head on over to OddsShark.com for any changes up until kickoff.

The Bears are going to keep this one close, as they really showed they can put up points last weekend. Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky had his best game as a pro, and Jordan Howard found the end zone twice. The Lions have the advantage of playing at home, however, and Stafford should be able to make enough plays to pull this one out in front of the home crowd.

Final Score: Lions 27, Bears 24
