1. Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl
The bowl game formerly known as the St. Petersburg Bowl which was formerly known as the Bitcoin St. Petersburg Bowl which was previously the Beef O’Brady’s Bowl is now another ridiculous name and it tops our list of the worst bowl game names.
This year’s version of the bowl played in St. Petersburg, Fla., is called the Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl. This sounds like a made-up name, right? Well, it’s not.
What is Bad Boy Mowers? It’s actually just what it sounds like: a lawnmower business. It’s based out of Arkansas and has many locations in the south, but to the casual college football fan, it’s just a weird name that doesn’t mean much of anything.
Lucky for us fans, that name will be around for three more years as Bad Boy Mowers signed a contract through 2019 to be the sponsor of the Gasparilla Bowl. This year’s version of the game will be played between FIU and Temple and shouldn’t draw too much attention, although the name does that on its own.
Congratulations, Bad Boy Mowers, you have one weird business name and you topped our list.
