11. Raycom Media Camellia Bowl

Some of the more unfortunate bowl names are generated by local businesses and that goes for the Raycom Media Camellia Bowl in Montgomery, Ala. It’s been played each year since 2014 and it’s sponsored by a local television broadcasting station in Montgomery.

Sure, it’s not the worst name for a bowl, but it’s also not something that gets fans fired up to watch their team play in.

The Raycom Media Camellia Bowl is a battle between the Sun Belt and the MAC and has been a great game in each of the first three seasons of it. The bowl game will feature Middle Tennessee and Arkansas State in 2017 and it has plenty to live up to in terms of competitiveness.

Each of the three Raycom Media Camellia Bowls in the past three years has been decided by five points or less with Appalachian State winning the last two over Ohio and Toledo. The first was won by Bowling Green over South Alabama. Although it’s poorly named, keep an eye out for this one as it’ll likely go down to the wire.
