When will Star Wars: The Last Jedi be released on DVD and Blu-ray? We have all the information you need to get you ready for the latest movie from a galaxy far, far away.
The calendar has slowly moved towards the middle of December, which means that another Star Wars movie is on us.
Just as with 2015’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Dec. 18) and last year’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (Dec. 16), Star Wars: The Last Jedi will have debuted in the middle of the month — Dec. 15 to be exact.
The film will certainly be a major box office draw, as it is arguably the most widely anticipated movie of the year.
Plot wise, the vast majority of the characters from Force Awakens will return, with Rey, Leia, Finn, BB-8 and company all playing integral roles.
This time around, Luke Skywalker will have more than just a small cameo at the end, with the character figuring to play a significant part in the story.
What’s more, the film will have new faces as well.
Among the more prominent additions to the cast include Kelly Marie Tran’s Rose Tico, Laura Dern’s Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo and Benicio Del Toro’s DJ.
With the movie slated to debut in theaters on Dec. 15, the next question then becomes, when does it become available on DVD and Blu-ray?
That information hasn’t yet been released, but it stands to reason that it will be sometime in the spring.
The Force Awakens premiered in theaters in the United States in mid-December before becoming available on DVD and Blu-ray on April 5, 2016.
Rogue One followed a similar pattern from a theatrical-release standpoint, and was available to own on DVD and Blu-ray the next spring on April 4, 2017. That makes a home video release date the first week of April 2018 for The Last Jedi look like a very safe bet.
