Bills’ Tre’Davious White wants win over Gronk
By John Buhler
Buffalo Bills rookie cornerback Tre’Davious White not only wants a win over the New England Patriots in Week 16, but wants to beat tight end Rob Gronkowski.
In what should be one of the most entertaining games of the Week 16 slate in the NFL, the New England Patriots (11-3) will host the division rival Buffalo Bills (8-6) on Sunday afternoon. Buffalo wants to avenge its earlier loss to New England. Nobody wants it more than Bills star rookie cornerback Tre’Davious White.
White was the Bills’ first-round pick out of LSU. He has been a revelation in his first year in the league, as arguably the second-best rookie corner in the NFL after Marshon Lattimore of the New Orleans Saints. However, most casual football fans know White as the guy Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski decided to pile drive an elbow into his head while White was on the ground.
No doubt White wants revenge on Gronkowski for that egregious late hit. Though he’s not going to go out there and cheap shot Gronkowski, as White “has moved on from it”, he feels that “going [into Foxborough] and winning would be the best revenge.”
Buffalo would be the No. 6 seed in the AFC playoffs if the season ended after Week 15. The Bills can get to 10-6 and make the playoffs for the first time since 1999, but will have to win on the road against New England and the Miami Dolphins to get it done.

New England is a significant favorite in this game, as the Patriots have already clinched the AFC East crown for the ninth straight season. However, we have to expect that the Patriots will get the Bills’ best game on Sunday. To Buffalo, this is their Super Bowl. Buffalo has been up and down all year, but could very well make a rare appearance in the AFC playoffs should they win out.
