2018 NFL Mock Draft: Browns, Giants nab QBs
By Brad Weiss
Two weeks ago, the Philadelphia Eagles looked to be a lock to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. Second-year quarterback Carson Wentz was playing at an MVP level, and both sides of the ball were playing elite football. Then Wentz went out and tore up his knee, ending his season, and forcing the fate of the season on veteran backup Nick Foles.
This past weekend, all Foles did was go out and throw four touchdown passes against the New York Giants, showing flashes of the player who once threw for 27 touchdowns against only two interceptions in a season. If he plays the way he did on Sunday, the Eagles will be fine, as there is enough talent on this roster to make a serious run. The Eagles faithful need a Super Bowl win, and this roster just might be able to give it a run this postseason.

Earlier in the season, star left tackle Jason Peters also blew out his knee, and given his age, he might call it a career. With their first pick late in round one, the Eagles may want to go out and draft a potential replacement for him. Mitch Hyatt has been the anchor of the Clemson offensive line for years, and at the next level, he could wind up being a stellar left tackle for the next ten season. If not, they could move him to the right side, and slide Lane Johnson over to the left.
