DraftKings European League Basketball Picks December 21

More from DraftKings

DraftKings has brought the Euro League state side! They even have an app where we can watch the games that our picks are involved in! What I want to know is how long before Fox Sports starts airing these games live? Make it happen already!

The Euro league is a different animal. It is much more halfcourt oriented than the NBA game. The games are also eight minutes shorter. There are 16 teams in the Euro League instead of 30. That means a more shallow player pool to choose from.

I had a good day with 158.75 DraftKings points yesterday, but it wasn’t quite good enough to place. Tarczewski was the only one that really underachieved.

The winning lineup cracked 200 at 201.5 DraftKings points. He used Jamel McLean, who was the highest scorer in the league yesterday. His lineup didn’t even have Shved, but it did have five of the six players over 30 DraftKings points!

Guards:

My lineup ended up about the same as Tuesday’s with a few exceptions. A few good guards have even better matchups, so using Doncic isn’t the only great option. That should create more lineup diversity.

Luka Doncic ($14,700): Doncic getting tossed ruined many a lineup. He was over 60% owned in a single entry tournament! However, Doncic still put up over 12 DraftKings points in the six minutes he was on the court. He is still the best player in the league with the possible exception of Shved. However, there are enough good options at guard tonight that you don’t have to use Doncic.

Brad Wanamaker ($11,500): Wanamaker put on a nice showing even in a poor matchup against Belgrade on Tuesday. Wanamaker has not been under 22 DraftKings points in any round this year. Not even Doncic can say that anymore after he got the boot on Tuesday. Wanamaker’s consistency makes him a good target. The matchup against Tel Aviv turns him into a borderline elite one.

Kevin Pangos ($10,900): Pangos remains hot from the floor, which has pushed his price up into quintuple digits. His passing ability is what makes Pangos worth using though. Scoring may come and go, but Pangos is also among the league leaders in assists.

Nikos Pappas ($6,700): Once again, I am targeting the Athens backcourt for value with Calathes sidelined. Pappas put together a solid game on Tuesday, and is likely the most solid option. However, I like the consistency of Lojeski at almost $2,000 less. The upside of Lukas Lekavicius is even better. Lekavicius picked the scoring load for the backcourt with Calathes out, and he is the cheapest of the three!

Forwards:

Chris Singleton ($9,600): Singleton ramped up his scoring as well with Calathes out, and had arguably his best game of the season. Singleton posted a double-double against Tel Aviv, and has a great chance to do the same against Belgrade. Belgrade is well below average on the interior, so SingletonĀ is on double-double watch again. If you don’t pay up at guard, stack Singleton and James Gist and watch the points pile up!

James Nunnally ($7,900): Nunnally is still one of the most consistent players. Istanbul was swept by Tel Aviv last year. You can bet that they are going to treat this game a little differently since no one else swept them.

I thought about attacking the Tel Aviv interior, but I decided that the best values were still in the Real Madrid frontcourt. Not only are Anthony Randolph and Gustavo Ayon still out, but Rudy Fernandez has joined the ranks of the injured. That means plenty of run for Felipe Reyes and Walter Taveras. Despite the price increase to Trey Thompkins, I still like him a lot starting at center. I will use two of those three to fill out my frontcourt if I can’t afford Gist.
