The Nebraska Cornhuskers announce their early National Signing Day class for 2018.
Scott Frost has had no time to rest since taking over as head coach of the Nebraska Cornhuskers. The buzz around the program is high after they brought back a beloved Cornhusker to hopefully lead the program back to prominence.
Frost is coming off an incredible year at UCF, where he led the Knights to an undefeated season. Now, he’ll have no time to waste at all with the Cornhuskers. Early National Signing Day is going to force him to hit the ground running.
That means that he’ll have to get as many commits locked in early before the big National Signing Day in February. According to 247sports, Nebraska is just 45th in the nation at the moment and only 12th in the conference.
For those that are keeping tabs, that’s about as bottom of the barrel as it can get right now. There are only 12 commits on the board at the moment and some talented ones, so as they fill out the class, that ranking should ultimately rise.

Still, Nebraska isn’t in the greatest spot at the moment and Frost will have a tall task. Competing in the Big Ten Conference isn’t an easy task and out in the Big Ten West, the path might be a little easier than the road in the Big Ten East.
Still, it’s going to take time and Frost will hopefully have a few surprises up his sleeve. Right now, quarterback Adrian Martinez out of California is the top recruit for the program. The four-star dual threat is someone that they’re extremely excited about. The new signing day process is going to be tough for everyone, especially a coach that just took over.
