Sit: Jamaal Williams, RB – Green Bay Packers

Some owners had likely been riding rookie running back Jamaal Williams through the latter part of the season until this past week. The young back submarined a lot of lineups this past week in a tough matchup on the road.

Even though the Packers are headed home, the matchup doesn’t get any easier for Green Bay as they have to play division champion Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings still have a lot to play for as they could be the number one seed in the NFC.

The volume just wasn’t there this past week in large part because the Packers fell behind on the scoreboard early. That is likely going to be the case again this week as the Minnesota offense is really clicking. The Packers defense has been atrocious lately and they will probably struggle again this week.

It’s unclear if the Packers will let quarterback Aaron Rodgers play after the Packers loss in Carolina. It’s a hard road to the postseason for them at this point. If it’s Brett Hundley in control of the offense, it could make it even harder for Williams to find any running lanes. Regardless of who’s playing quarterback, Williams should not be started in Week 16. Everyone just saw how low the floor can go for him.
