Spend some of your Thursday night with the cast of SNL through the years and get in the Christmas spirit in a very different — yet hilarious — way.

Somehow, Christmas has snuck up on us and is reportedly less than five days away. That means last minute gift-wrapping, possibly done in front of the TV. There isn’t that much that’s new on at this point of the year, so might be suggest A Saturday Night Live Christmas Special?

We might? Awesome. Depending on how the 25th falls in relation to the calendar, we sometimes get a new episode of SNL pretty close to Christmas, which has led to some truly memorable sketches and musical performances over the last 40-plus years.

That wasn’t happening this year with the holiday falling on a Monday, so A Saturday Night Live Christmas Special is the next best thing. We have no idea what skits will be included, and the official synopsis isn’t a whole lot of help:

"Holiday-themed comedy from “Saturday Night Live” is presented."

Thanks, NBC. That much we figured.

Despite the lack of details, there’s so much holiday-themed content from which to draw that we’re sure the two hours will fly right by. Here’s all the info you need to watch this SNL special live tonight:

It’ll be three more Saturdays off for the show, which has already announced that it is coming back with its first new episode of 2018 on Jan. 13. Sam Rockwell will host with Halsey as musical guest, and if past history is any indication, we should get announcements for the next few guests after that before the end of December.
