We’re getting ready to see the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots square off in Foxborough. Which team will prevail in this contest?

Let’s hope that whoever catches the ball for the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots this weekend that there is not a hint of controversy. A few days before these teams prepare to meet in Foxborough, people are still talking about the Pats’ 27-24 win at Pittsburgh and its interesting ending.

But that was last Sunday and you can bet Bill Belichick’s club is focused on the task at hand. Back in Week 13, New England came away with a 23-3 win at Orchard Park. It raised the Patriots’ record to 30-4 in their last 34 meetings between these clubs. So what should we expect from this AFC East rematch.

Odds

Line: Patriots (-11.5)

Over/Under: 47

Back at home for the first time since Week 12, the Patriots are 11.5-point favorites (via OddsShark) to sweep the Bills for the second time in three years. The over/under looks a bit high considering Buffalo’s offense has struggled to put points on the board the last few months. But Belichick’s club is always capable of some big things.

Last week’s win over the Steelers put the Patriots back in the playoffs once again. It was also a hard-hitting contest that could have some ripple effects this week when it comes to Brady and company. That being said, the Buffalo Bills’ offense has been somewhat erratic for a spell and when last these teams met McDermott’s club couldn’t find the end zone. This figures to be a tighter game that anticipated but the champs figure to get the job done once again.

Pick: Patriots 19, Bills 10
