The Kansas City Chiefs can lock up the AFC West with a win on Sunday, as they welcome the Miami Dolphins to Arrowhead Stadium in Week 16.
With a win against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs can lock upĀ the AFC West for the second straight season. While that does not sound like such a big deal based on how good this team is, they nearly blew a huge lead in the division, as they wasted a 5-0 start to the season. The Chiefs won only one time in their next six games, losing to teams like the New York Jets, and division rival Oakland.
All of that will mean nothing if they can get the win on Sunday, and they should be able to do that easily. This Chiefs team is peaking right now, and rookie running back Kareem Hunt has reverted back to early-season form. The defense is also playing at a high level, and this past Saturday night, they were able to control a red-hot Los Angeles Chargers team for four quarters.
Miami looked good two weeks ago, when they beat the New England Patriots at home, but they were atrocious against the Buffalo Bills last weekend. Jay Cutler erased any good feeling based on his effort against the Patriots by looking like the same old Jay on Sunday, and it really stunted anything they wanted to do on offense. He will be going up against a defense playing their best football in over two months, so do not expect a big game from Mr. Cutler in this one.
Odds
Line: Miami Dolphins (+10.0)
Over/Under: 43.5
The Chiefs are big-time home favorites in this one, as they are giving ten points to the visiting Dolphins. The over/under is set at 43.5, and with the way this Chiefs offense is playing as of late, that number could get obliterated. This line will change a lot throughout the week, so head on over to OddsShark.com for any changes up until kickoff.

Kansas City is going to roll in this one, as a win would lock up the AFC West for the second straight season. Alex Smith is starting to get back in a rhythm, and Kareem Hunt is vying for the AFC Rookie of the Year award. The Dolphins do not stand much of a chance on Sunday, as the Chiefs defense will have plenty of opportunity to harass Jay Cutler all afternoon.
Final Score: Chiefs 31, Dolphins 14
