We’re getting ready to see the Seattle Seahawks and Dallas Cowboys square off at Arlington. Which team will prevail in this contest?

It’s the return of the 2016 NFL rushing champion after a six-game suspension. Dallas Cowboys’ running back Ezekiel Elliott returns to a team that has won three straight games since slumping to 5-6 a few weeks ago. And now he takes aim at a slumping Seattle Seahawks club that owns the same record as Jason Garett’s club but is coming off consecutive losses to the Jacksonville Jaguars and Los Angeles Rams – the latter in the Pacific Northwest.

Can Pete Carroll’s club snap out of its current funk? The Seahawks are in danger of missing the playoffs for the first time since 2011. So who comes out on top Sunday afternoon at AT&T Stadium in a clash of 2016 division champions?

Odds

Line: Cowboys (-4.5)

Over/Under: 47

Courtesy of the fine people at OddsShark, the surging Cowboys are 4.5-point favorites to hand the struggling Seahawks a third straight loss. Given the state of both of these defenses that over/under number looks just right, making it a risky investment.

You get the sense that the Seattle Seahawks have not only run out of gas but healthy bodies as well. In the back-to-back losses to the Jaguars (30-24) and Rams (42-7), Carroll’s club has surrendered a combined 72 points. And that can only mean good things for Elliott and a Dallas Cowboys’ team who watched Rams’ running back Todd Gurley toy with the Seattle defense last week. It’s gone very wrong for the ‘Hawks, who may be in for yet another long afternoon.

Pick: Cowboys 30, Seahawks 17
