Off a 12-4 finish and a playoff appearance in 2016, the Oakland Raiders have already lost twice as many games as they did a season ago. It’s been a down year for quarterback Derek Carr. While he’s thrown twice as many touchdown passes (20) as interceptions this season (10), he comes off a year in which he threw for 28 scores and been picked off only six times. All told, the inconsistent Raiders have scored 174 points in six wins compared to 107 points in their eight losses in ’17 (17 points or less in each loss).

The Philadelphia Eagles have had much fewer problems this season, even with quarterback Carson Wentz going down. Last Sunday, they rallied from a 20-7 hole to beat the New York Giants, 34-29. But that was last week and now it’s almost Christmas. And the Birds will welcome the Silver and Black to Philadelphia on the night of December 25.
