The talented Oklahoma City Thunder will head to Salt Lake City on Saturday for a divisional clash with the Utah Jazz. Here is how you can watch online.
The Utah Jazz will host the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday for a Northwest Division battle that will see Utah aim to exact their revenge after the two teams’ previous meeting was a rout. As of Thursday, OKC was tied for second place in the divisional standings, while Utah sat in the basement. However, a mere five games are all that separate the Jazz and the first-place Minnesota Timberwolves in what is shaping up to be a very tight division in 2017-18.

Wednesday saw the Thunder host the Jazz, and it did not go well for Utah from start to finish. Playing without both Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell, Utah managed just nine points in the first quarter, putting them at a significant disadvantage for the remainder of the game. The Jazz failed to outscore the Thunder in any of the next three quarters, giving OKC the 107-79 win in the end.
Gobert remains sidelined until January due to a PCL sprain, while Mitchell is still day-to-day with a toe injury. It’s possible that Mitchell will be able to join the Jazz on the court for Saturday’s matchup with the Thunder, which would be a welcomed sight for Utah fans. The rookie guard leads the team in scoring at more than 17 points per game this season. Mitchell and Rodney Hood will need to execute efficiently on offense to beat an opponent of OKC’s caliber.

Oklahoma City is finally surging after a slow start to the season. It’s been a bit rocky for the new Big 3 in OKC, but Russell Westbrook, Paul George and Carmelo Anthony appear to be adjusting to the new dynamic slowly but surely. Westbrook was the high point man in Wednesday’s matchup with the Jazz, hitting 10 of his 13 shot attempts in an uncharacteristically efficient performance from the field. Utah can’t make it that easy for the reigning MVP again.
