DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 25, 2017
High Salary PG
Russell Westbrook, OKC vs HOU ($10,900): Westbrook has been on fire lately, posting 60+ fantasy points in three of his last four games. It would have been four straight if not for a blowout where he played just 28 minutes against Utah. He puts up big numbers in all offensive categories, makes a handful of defensive plays, and is not turning the ball over. This is his first look against a very good Houston Rockets team, but he should be his usual self in this one. If Chris Paul doesn’t play, that makes Westbrook’s life even easier. You know what you’re getting from Westbrook. He’ll be at 55+ fantasy points with ease. *****
Kyrie Irving, BOS vs WAS ($8,300): Irving has been over 45 fantasy points in three straight contests. His scoring is up, he’s been knocking down threes, and his assist numbers have stayed consistent. The Bulls are 18th against the position in their last 15 games. On a team relying on rookies and second-year players, Irving is the most reliable option for Boston. This is a big game and he raises his game like no other in these situations. He’s going to put up points and post solid numbers in other categories. ****
Ben Simmons, PHI at NY ($9,300): Simmons has been a bust in his last two games against the Raptors. He averaged 28.8 fantasy points in the two game series. He should have an easier time against the Knicks, who rank 22nd against point guards in their last 15 games. He’s a triple-double threat on any given night. His numbers were down against the Raptors, but the Knicks are not the Raptors. They were an angry team looking to make a statement because they aren’t playing on Christmas. Despite his last two contests, Simmons has been at value in 72 percent of contests this year. ***
