If you’re hoping to make a Target run on Christmas Day, you need to know whether or not the Bullseye will be open for your shopping needs.
Christmas Day has finally arrived and Santa has already made his appearance. If a Target run is on your list for Christmas Day, you need to know that all Target locations are closed on Christmas.
Though Target was open late (10pm or 11pm) at most locations on Christmas Eve, all stores will be closed on Christmas Day. Christmas is the only day when Target closes its doors, and it makes a lot of sense given how early they open on Thanksgiving Day for the early Black Friday sales. Closing on Christmas rewards their hard working employees who toil through the holiday madness to help everyone else finish their shopping.
For shoppers hoping to redeem their Christmas gift cards, you can shop online all day on Target’s website, or you can wait until stores reopen at their normal business hours on Tuesday morning.
After Christmas shopping is not as much of a big deal as Black Friday shopping, but it has its own madness to it as shoppers try to find deals on clearance holiday decor and special merchandise while also taking advantage of sales made to lure you back into the stores with those highly coveted gift cards. Most of those clearance sales start with merchandise at 50% off, and the discounts increase the longer the merchandise remains on the shelves. It has been known to go all the way to 90% off in some cases. There are different discount levels for different merchandise, with decor often having a lower discount while holiday foods are marked down more to clear it out faster.
If you’re not sure about your local Target’s opening hours, be sure to call ahead and check hours before heading out on Tuesday morning.
