Rockets at Celtics live stream: How to watch online

The Boston Celtics will host the Houston Rockets on Thursday night. Here is how to watch this NBA game online via live streaming.
Only 10 of the NBA’s 30 teams will be in action on Thursday night, though the docket of games is still loaded. Chief among a handful of intriguing matchups will be the Houston Rockets’ venture into the TD Garden in Boston to take on the Celtics.
Tipoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. EST on December 28, 2017 and the game will be aired nationally on TNT in the front end of a doubleheader. It can also be streamed live on FuboTV.
Both Boston and Houston came into the season with high expectations. Neither was a preseason favorite to make the NBA Finals, but both were on the short list of candidates who could pull off an upset in their respective conference. Almost halfway through the season, both have been better than advertised and have earned the attention of the NBA-viewing world.
Lead by James Harden, the Rockets (25-7) boast one of the most prolific offenses in NBA history and have mustered a top-10 defense as well. Harden is positioned squarely in the MVP discussion as his surrounding talent is more formidable than ever. They have, however, lost three consecutive games 20 of their previous 21. Chris Paul, who Houston acquired in the offseason via trade, has missed the team’s last two games (and 16 games total) and is questionable to play Thursday night. The Rockets are dominant with him on the floor, and he raises the team’s playoff ceiling significantly.
The Celtics (28-10) still own the best record in the Eastern Conference thanks to strong seasons from Kyrie Irving, Al Horford, and youngsters Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum. Irving has been on the fringes of the MVP discussion while Horford remains the two-way rock he has been for most of his career. Brown and Tatum have progressed faster than most could have expected after Gordon Hayward’s opening-night injury and now project as current and future difference-makers for an improving Boston team.

Though likely not a foreshadowing of a playoff series, this matchup will feature two of the NBA’s best and most exciting teams. The league’s most efficient offense will clash with the stingiest defense, and the game should act as a meaningful measuring stick for both teams. Boston has the personnel to handle Houston’s lethal pick-and-roll attack as they present switchability and length that few teams can. The Rockets’ offense does not relent; the Celtics’ defense does not yield. One will have to on Thursday night.
