The Chicago Bears will head to Minnesota to take on the Vikings on Sunday, with the Vikings looking for a win to secure a first-round bye in the playoffs.

The Minnesota Vikings have been one of the surprising stories of the NFL this season, as they currently find themselves on the brink of a first-round by in the NFC Playoffs. When you consider the team has seen their starting quarterback, and running back go down for the season due to an injury, it is pretty incredible that they keep winning. Case Keenum has stepped up big time for the injured Sam Bradford, and is in the conversation for being the Most Valuable Player of the league.

For the Chicago Bears, they figured they would struggle this season, as they lost two of their main weapons on offense due to injury early on. Cameron Meredith and Kevin White have missed nearly all of the 2017 NFL season, and rookie quarterback Mitchell Trubisky has had to make due with whatever was left over. To make matters worse, Trubisky lost star tight end Zach Miller to a season-ending injury as well, leaving the Bears with really only Jordan Howard as a viable weapon on offense.

Kickoff begins at 1:00pm ET, and the Vikings are certain to come out swinging in this one. If they can lock up a first round bye, or possible home field advantage, they would have the entire playoffs go through U.S. Bank Stadium. Minnesota plays host to Super Bowl LII this February.

Trubisky has shown flashes of brilliance this season, and he has certainly at least shown that he can be the long-term solution at quarterback for the Bears. Howard found the end zone twice this past week, but he will have tougher sledding against an elite Vikings defense in Week 17. There is no way the Vikings lose this game in front of their home crowd, who will likely get to see a playoff game in their building be played by their own Vikings.
