Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions live stream: How to watch
By Brad Weiss
In a game that is only big for bragging rights among rivals, the Green Bay Packers will head to the Motor City to take on the Detroit Lions.
During the 2016 NFL season, the Week 17 matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions decided the NFC North. In 2017, this matchup has very little meaning, other than the fact it is two rivals playing each other for bragging rights. Green Bay was shutout by the Minnesota Vikings last weekend, their second time being shutout this season, and they have looked lost since Aaron Rodgers broke his collarbone nine weeks ago.
For the Lions, they had a chance to keep their playoff hopes alive in Week 16, but they fell to the lowly Cincinnati Bengals. A year after making the playoffs as a Wildcard, the Lions find themselves going home after Week 17, so they would like to finish the regular season out with a win. Matthew Stafford has been as productive as ever in 2017, as he threw for over 4,000 yards for the seventh straight season.

Kickoff begins at 1:00pm ET, and this one should at least be competitive, considering how much these two teams hate each other. Lions head coach Jim Caldwell is on the hot seat as the team enters the final game of the regular season, so his players should be playing with some added intensity, in hopes of allowing him to keep his job.

It has been a disappointing season for both teams, but they should be back in playoff contention in 2018. The loss of Rodgers proved to be too much to overcome for the Packers, who has since placed him on injured reserve for the second time this season. Brett Hundley has had his moments in relief of Rodgers as the quarterback for the Packers, but the offense looked really bad last weekend, and will struggle in this one against a tough Lions pass rush.
