Redskins at Giants: Preview, prediction, odds and pick
We’re getting ready to see the Washington Redskins and New York Giants square off at MetLife Stadium. Which team will prevail in this contest?
You know it’s been a really bad year when you have had more defensive backs suspended (3) than wins (2). All kidding aside, the New York Giants are in the midst of the worst showing in the franchise’s history. At 2-13, the club has already set a team record for losses in a season.
It’s not been a great year for head coach Jay Gruden and the Washington Redskins. A victory on Sunday at MetLife Stadium will send the team out on a three-game winning streak. But more was expected from a team that was very busy this offseason.
Back on Thanksgiving night at FedExField, Kirk Cousins and friends handed the Giants a 20-10 setback. Will Washington complete the sweep on Sunday afternoon at the Meadowlands?
Odds
Line: Redskins (-3.5)
Over/Under: 38
The Redskins own a 2-5 road record this season and have dropped three straight games away from home. But Gruden’s squad (via OddsShark) is a 3.5-point favorite to extend the Giants’ misery. Of course, New York is just 1-6 at home in 2017 and Steve Spagnuolo’s club is riding a five-game overall losing streak.

The Washington Redskins have put together two solid efforts the past two weeks and can avoid a losing with a victory. It’s about to be soul-searching offseason for the New York Giants, who can’t seem to get out of their own way both on and off the field these days. Still, you can expect an angry team to take out its season-long frustrations this Sunday against a ‘Skins team that has had its own defensive issues once again. Expect an ugly affair at MetLife Stadium on Sunday.
Pick: Giants 17, Redskins 13
