10. Steve Smith Sr. rows the boat

Steve Smith Sr. was one of the NFL’s toughest and nastiest players and he certainly didn’t care about your opinion. Just ask the Minnesota Vikings about that. Back in 2005, four Vikings players were charged with misdemeanors related to the Love Boat scandal. More than 15 members of the team allegedly rented out two boats on with Lake Minnetonka along with a number of prostitutes. To keep it short, it wasn’t a good look and Smith Sr. played it to his advantage.

In a game against the Vikings, Smith Sr. caught a touchdown pass and continued to make a rowing motion in the end zone for about 30-seconds. It became pretty clear what the celebration was mocking. While the rest of the league laughed, Vikings players and fans alike immediately became Smith Sr’s worst fans. This is one of the most well throughout celebrations you’ll see and it was completely indicative of his personality.

Smith Sr. was a rub it in your face kind of guy. Whether it was “Ice Up Son” or jawing at players week in and week out, he truly believed he was the best player on the football field. He could get into your head and wanted to expose your flaws. It didn’t matter what they were and for Smith Sr., there were no lines drawn. Just about everything was fair game for him.

What makes this celebration so great is that it pissed off an entire fan base and they’ll always hate him for it.
