Chelsea are third in the Premier League, one point behind Manchester United and 16 points behind Manchester City. On Saturday, Chelsea host Stoke at Stamford Bridge. The Potters are 13th in the table, with 20 in their first 20 games.

Chelsea have won three of their past four games to cement a position in the top four. The Blues defeated Brighton 2-0 in their Boxing Day game, with Álvaro Morata and Marcos Alonso scoring. Morata leads the club with 10 goals. Alonso and Eden Hazard are tied for second on the team with five goals. Defensively, Antonio Conte’s team are second behind City, allowing only 14 goals in the first 20 games. César Azpilicueta is having arguably his best season and has helped solidify the Chelsea backline.

The Potters drew 1-1 with Huddersfield in their Boxing Day game. Stoke have picked up four points in their last two games after losing three straight. The points have temporarily moved Stoke out of the relegation picture but the team’s flaws could have them battling for survival over the second half of the season. Mark Hughes’ team have struggled to defend this season, allowing a Premier League worst 41 goals. While Stoke have been awful defensively, they have scored the ninth most goals. Stoke’s front three of Xherdan Shaqiri, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, and Mame Diouf have each scored four goals this season.
