During their eight-game point streak, Palace have picked up 14 points to move from last in the Premier League to out of the relegation zone. After allowing 19 goals in their first nine games of the season, manager Roy Hodgson has improved the Eagles defense. Over their past 10 games, have allowed only 10 goals. Offensively, after being shut out of their first seven games, Palace have scored 16 goals over their past 12 games, with Wilfried Zaha leading the club with four goals.

Manchester City have been simply brilliant in their second season under Guardiola. The Citizens are running away with the Premier Leauge, leading city rivals Manchester United by 15 points. After 20 games, City’s 61 goals lead the second highest scoring team Liverpool by 15 goals. Defensively, no team has allowed fewer goals than City’s 12. Ederson has proven to be the perfect sweeper-keeper that Guardiola wanted, capable of making a big save and delivering a perfect pass from the back. Part of what has made City’s attack so leathal this season is the number of scoring options available at anytime. Six different players on City have scored at least five Premier League goals.
