Live stream info and how to watch online as Iowa State travels to Memphis to face the Tigers in the 2017 Liberty Bowl.

The Memphis Tigers came incredibly close to avenging their earlier season loss to UCF and winning the AAC Championship Game, but lost 62-55 in double overtime. The loss ended the Memphis hopes of a New Year’s Six bowl slot, and instead of a trip to Atlanta for the Peach Bowl, the 10-2 Tigers stayed home for one more game at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium.

Iowa State comes into the Liberty Bowl 7-5 overall and 5-4 in Big 12 play after pulling off several upsets, headlined by a dramatic 38-31 comeback win over conference championship and College Football Playoff participant Oklahoma. However, Iowa State also comes in having lost three of their final four games, including a heartbreaking 20-19 loss at Kansas State in the regular season finale.

Nevertheless, having already clinched the first winning season for the team since 2009, the Cyclones are back in a bowl game for the first time since 2012. Head coach Matt Campbell, in his second season in Ames, has a chance to do something that hasn’t been done since 2000: win eight games in a season.

However, to pick up win No. 9, Iowa State must pull off another upset. According to Odds Shark, Memphis is a four-point favorite — and for good reason. The Tigers have an explosive offense led by future NFL quarterback Riley Ferguson, 1,000-yard rusher Darrell Henderson and elite receiver Anthony Miller, who amassed 92 receptions for 1,407 yards and 17 touchdowns as a senior.

But the Cyclones are also talented, with receiver Allen Lazard and running back David Montgomery on offense and linebacker Joel Lanning and defensive back Kamari Cotton-Moya leading the defense.
