Liverpool are in a good run of form in all competitions. The Reds are unbeaten since their 4-1 loss against Tottenham in mid-October. However, they have drawn a few matches against some mid-table teams that they should’ve beaten, which has been a problem for Jurgen Klopp all season. A week ago, they faced off against Arsenal and were up 2-0 early in the second half but proceeded to ship three goals in five minutes to the Gunners in a match which ultimately ended in a 3-3 draw. In the previous match against Leicester, Liverpool won 3-2 away from home in a contest similar to the Arsenal game. With the new addition of Virgil van Dijk, they’ll hope to shore up their defense to avoid those outcomes.
Leicester are in the top half of the table under Claude Puel, but have hit a recent slide in the Premier League. The Foxes lost to Crystal Palace 3-0 at home, drew Manchester United 2-2 and lost to Watford after going up by a goal away. The loss to Palace broke a five match unbeaten run in the league. Riyad Mahrez has hit his stride under Puel and Demarai Gray is awarding the new manager with his stellar play as well.
