New Year’s Resolutions for every Premier League team

One New Year’s resolution for every Premier League club.
Premier League leaders Manchester City hope to make more than one piece of history after the calendar flips from 2017 to ’18. Neighbors Manchester United will just be hoping to keep pace and maybe satisfy the demands of their fans for attractive, attacking soccer.
By contrast, Swansea and West Brom will just be hoping to still be members of England’s top flight come June. Meanwhile, Arsenal’s resolve to keep the two best players in manager Arsene Wenger’s squad is sure to be tested during January.
Find out what each Premier League team’s New Year’s resolution should be.
20. Swansea: Score more goals to beat the drop
The Swans are facing the threat of relegation for one simple reason: they’ve scored the fewest goals in the league.
It’s a problem whoever replaces Paul Clement as manager needs to fix, but one without an obvious solution. Tammy Abraham puts in the work up top, but isn’t prolific, while returning hero Wilfried Bony’s comeback tour has been blighted by injury.
Goals from midfield have also been in short supply since Gyfli Sigurdsson was sold to Everton in the summer. The squad isn’t exactly filled with players who offer an obvious remedy.
However, playing two strikers would help, as would getting winger Luciano Narsingh and playmaker Roque Mesa on the pitch more often.
Without more goals, the Swans are sure to be playing in the Championship next season.
