FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – January 1, 2018

High Salary SF
Giannis Antetokounmpo, MIL at TOR ($10,900): After missing value in three straight, Antetokounmpo was 1.31 fantasy points over value against Oklahoma City. He certainly tailed off at the end of the month, but he’s been too good this season to think that will continue. Expect him to really get up for this one as this a big test for where the Bucks are at in their growth. I like him to be back up to 50 fantasy points on Monday. ****
Jimmy Butler, MIN vs LAL ($9,300): The good news for Butler is that he played just 27 minutes on Sunday night. He’s been more miss than hit in back-to-back games, but should be well rested given his limited minutes on Sunday. Especially when you consider the Lakers are on the road and had to play a double-overtime game on Sunday. Butler had 45 fantasy points against the Lakers on Christmas. I think he can be 10+ fantasy points over his value in this one. *****
High Value SF
Jonathon Simmons, ORL at BKN ($6,100): Simmons has had to take a step back a bit as the Magic are starting to get healthy. He’s not putting up the scoring numbers he was when Orlando seemed to be missing their entire team, but he’s rebounding well and chipping in with assists. I like him to be around value with a chance at being slightly over. ***
DeMarre Carroll, BKN vs ORL ($5,200): Carroll has been under 20 fantasy points in four straight games, but sees his salary climb a bit due to the matchup. The Magic are 20th against the position in their last 15 fames. Carroll has played well for the majority of the season, which makes this recent stretch all the more puzzling. He’s averaging 33.9 fantasy points in two games against the Magic this season. ***
