Bills fans react to playoff berth with donations to Andy Dalton’s charity

Bills fans are donating $17 dollar increments to the Andy & Jordan Dalton Foundation following the team’s first playoff berth in 17 years.
Buffalo Bills fans are ecstatic about the team’s first playoff berth in 17 years and donations are flooding into the Andy & Jordan Dalton Foundation as a result. The reason? Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton eliminated the Baltimore Ravens from playoff contention with a touchdown pass to WR Tyler Boyd on Dec. 31. Thus a playoff berth was assured for the Bills for the first time since 1999.
As a result, Bills fans are donating to the Andy & Jordan Dalton Foundation in mostly $17 increments. Over $57,000 dollars have already been donated in just 24 hours by an estimated 2,500 donors according to Andy Dalton. The foundation has responded to the donating Bills fans, calling them “a class act” in a statement released Monday.
Dalton was enjoying the reaction by Bills fans telling media members,
"“According to my Twitter, I think everybody’s loving us right now. Obviously that’s a crazy fan base, and they’re all pretty excited. We’re appreciative of that. Obviously they’re helping out a good cause. It’s been pretty fun to see the reaction we’ve gotten”."
Though it’s currently unclear who originally came up with the idea to donate to Andy Dalton’s charity, the concept has gained immense popularity on social media. This viral internet meme is going to a good cause with donations supporting seriously ill and physically challenged children.
"“The mission of the Andy & Jordan Dalton Foundation is to provide daily support, opportunities, resources and life-changing experiences to seriously ill and physically challenged children and their families in Cincinnati and Fort Worth.”"
